More than 15 years as a journalist covering local and state government, business, crime and politics beats where an unverified claim turns into a correction the next morning. My background is also in data and investigative reporting, so large volumes of information don't slow me down. I'm used to tracing a figure back to its source and flagging the ones that don't hold up.
