Are you working on your novel alone? Is it difficult to separate yourself from your work? Would you value a second opinion and an independent perspective on your progress? If yes, you're in the right place!
As a beta reader, I will provide comprehensive feedback based on a positive and constructive approach. I will offer a summary including key highlights along with a detailed review or reader report for all packages. For completed drafts, I will include inline comments (standard & premium packages).
My reading interests cover both personal and professional contexts. My choices for personal reading are wide and varied; I mostly enjoy crime/thriller but as a beta reader my topics are open to all genres of fiction (including romance, fantasy, historical and futuristic).
Professionally, I am advanced reader to graduate level - my degree was in business management and can provide feedback on finance, project management, human resources and marketing. I am also comfortable with topics including European history, politics, and social reform.

What level of spelling and grammar will be provided?
I am a fluent and native English speaker who is qualified to degree level (first class honours). I am comfortable writing and reading to a high academic level. My spelling and grammar would be based on English (UK) standards.
What topics will you review?
I am happy to provide beta reading on fiction (for a wide range of genres) and non-fiction (mainly business, social sciences and modern history). I can discuss further areas of interest if you would like to commission services.
Are there any topics you would refuse?
Services for non-fiction are limited to specific category areas where I have either professional experience (business management) or personal interest (history). I would refuse topics requiring expertise unless your work was introduction level and my critique would focus on its intended audience.
