I offer developmental editing for fantasy, horror, sci-fi, and weird fiction. My feedback focuses on the big-picture elements: plot structure, characterization, pacing, narrative cohesion, themes, stakes, and how your worldbuilding integrates with the story. Depending on the package, you'll receive an editorial report, detailed inline comments, a comprehensive revision roadmap, and more.

What is developmental editing?
Developmental editing focuses on the structure and storytelling of your manuscript rather than language correction. I look at plot, pacing, characters, narrative cohesion, themes, and worldbuilding to identify what is working and what needs improvement at a structural level.
Do you correct grammar, spelling, or punctuation?
No. This service does not include proofreading or grammar correction. It focuses on story structure and narrative development. If you need language-level corrections, feel free to check out my other gigs.
Will you rewrite my manuscript or fix scenes?
No. I do not rewrite, ghostwrite, or directly modify your text. Instead, I provide detailed feedback and suggestions so you can revise your work yourself while maintaining full creative control.
What do I receive at the end of the service?
Depending on the package, you will receive an editorial report and/or annotated comments directly in your manuscript. The premium package also includes scene-by-scene and a consultation to discuss feedback and next steps.
Do you work on full novels?
For full-length manuscripts, please contact me before placing an order. Larger projects are handled through custom offers based on word count and scope. This ensures that the feedback is detailed and appropriately tailored to your work.
Can you guarantee improvements to my story?
I can identify structural issues and provide clear, actionable suggestions to improve your manuscript, but I cannot guarantee specific outcomes. The final implementation of feedback depends on the writer’s decisions and revisions.
Do you offer follow-up after delivery?
Feel free to reach out at any time if you have questions. The Premium Package includes one round of follow-up — a dedicated exchange where you can ask questions and get feedback on the editorial notes. You can also add a follow-up round as an extra on any other Package.
