About this Gig
1. Preparation:
- Install Docker: Ensure Docker is installed on your host machine. If not, download and install it from the official Docker website.
- System Requirements: Check for recommended system resources (e.g., at least 4GB RAM).
2. Fetch Budibase Docker Compose File:
- Download the `docker-compose.yml` file provided by Budibase. This file contains the configuration details to set up the necessary services for running Budibase.
3. Configuration:
- Environment Variables: Optionally, you can customize the environment variables in the `.env` file or directly within the `docker-compose.yml` to set up different configuration parameters like database credentials, external APIs, etc.
4. Launch Containers:
- Navigate to the directory containing the `docker-compose.yml` file.
- Run `docker-compose up -d` to start Budibase in detached mode. Docker Compose will pull the required images (Budibase server, client, MongoDB, and Redis) and set up containers based on the configuration.
