Francesco Russo (b. 2000) is one of the most brilliant mandolinists of his generation. He earned his Masters degree with Honors and Special Mention from the "Nicola Sala" Conservatory in Benevento under Maestro Michele de Martino.

His talent is recognized globally through major competition wins, including the First Absolute Prize (100/100) at the 5th "Sante Centurione" (2021) and First Place at the Solo Mandolin Competition at the URI/Guitar & Mandolin Festival (USA, 2024). Other achievements include prizes at the VI "M. Policarpo" in Modena, the "Estudiantina Bergamasca," and reaching the finals of Italys National Arts Prize (PNA). He refined his artistry in masterclasses with Avi Avital at the Stauffer Center, Ugo Orlandi, and Carlo Aonzo.

As a soloist, he has performed with the Real Orchestra di Napoli and the Collegium Philarmonicum. In 2025, he will present a recital of Calaces Preludes in Modena and a solo concert in the USA. An active orchestral musician with the OPPS and Mediterranean Plectrum Orchestra, he has performed in prestigious theaters and collaborated with international singer Noa (2024). He also serves as a Tutor for the European Kids Orchestra project.
