About this Gig
WordPress site typically experiences traffic loss when changing its own domain name or URL structure, because of the fact that pages Google has indexed get put in the process of redirecting to 404 or multiple redirects. In 2021 when the online store for board games went through rebranding and relaunch using WordPress WooCommerce theme, I crawled its old URLs, created the 301 mapping on a new URL scheme, and performed SEO on the website until 2024.
First off, there would be the crawling for impressions for your old URLs from Search Console. After that the URL map from the old to new will have been built for you to approve. After this approval:
- All URLs from the map would be configured via 301 redirects in WordPress in a page by page order without all pages getting redirected back home
- Old internal links, sitemap URLs and canonical URLs are being fixed
- A crawling process takes place in search for 404 errors and redirect chains in the aftermath of a relaunch.
If you change your website domain then verification in Google Search Console and Change of Address are done by me.
Just provide me with the URL that requires a relaunch along with changes you want.

FAQ
Can you guarantee that my rankings stay the same?
This guarantee cannot be made since the ranking changes may occur for other factors as well. My approach includes making sure each of the URL addresses known by Google links to something real with no unnecessary redirects present; also, I examine Search Console.
Do you also move the site to a new host?
This is not included as the service involves only SEO part of the upgrade. If you need some more stuff moved to a different server, ping me up with all servers details so that I could make you an offer accordingly.
My launch is still weeks away. What should I order?
Order Basic already: the map and redirects file will be done within three days from today regardless of the start date. Please inform about your starting date by messaging me back; I will make you an individual offer regarding set-up and post launch review for your order.
What if my old site is already offline?
Next is the baseline, obtained from Search Console or from the Wayback Machine if they have the site’s pages. In this case the map will be not as comprehensive as a live one. Therefore, in advance I inform you about which pages can’t be recovered.
Which redirect plugin do you use?
If you have a plugin in place, something such as the Redirection plugin or Rank Math, then it will be used. In the event that you don't, I install Redirection or setup redirects on the hosting account as needed.
