About this gig
I turn an Excel or Google Sheets file your team shares into a web app with your data imported, forms, search, user logins and export back to Excel, published on a server in your name.
- Basic: 1 table of up to 15 fields and 5,000 rows, list and search, add and edit forms, 1 type of user, Excel export
- Standard: up to 4 related tables, up to 3 user roles and a summary page with up to 5 totals
- Premium: up to 8 tables, a log of who changed what, daily backups and one scheduled check, like listing overdue items
Anything beyond these limits is quoted as a custom offer before I start.
Before writing code I send you a short plan with the tables and fields as I understood them, and you correct it. Changes after that plan use the revisions of your package.
I have done this at a larger scale for a medical center in Chile that worked across spreadsheets, emails and separate programs. I built their own system in Python, and the team uses it every day for billing, HR, appointment confirmations and payment reconciliation.

Which technology do you use?
Python with FastAPI and a PostgreSQL database, running on a Linux server. It is the same stack I use for the system I described above, and it does not tie you to a monthly subscription per user.
Where will the app run and who pays for hosting?
On a server in your name, so you keep control of the data. You create the server account and the domain (I send you the steps) and give me access, and hosting and domain costs are yours. For a small app a basic VPS plan is usually enough.
What is not included?
Email notifications, dashboards, payments, integrations with other tools, custom branding, mobile apps and support after delivery. Formulas beyond simple totals are also quoted apart. I can send you a custom offer for any of these.
What do you do with my files and data?
I use your file only to build and import the app, and I delete my copies when the order is completed. You receive the full code and the database structure, and the app runs on your own server account. A copy with fake or anonymized data is fine to start.
Can it connect to WhatsApp, my bank or my accounting?
Often yes, but it depends on the tool: it needs an API or at least a file export. I have built a WhatsApp appointment confirmation and a bank transfer reconciliation before. Tell me which tool and I will send you a custom offer.
What if my spreadsheet is a mess?
That is the usual starting point. Before writing code I send you a plan with the tables and fields as I understood them, and you correct it. Messy formulas are rebuilt as clear rules in the app.
