About this Gig

I will record drums directly to tape and then run the track to pro tools where I can have the audio in a digital .wav track.

I use an Akai Reel Tape Recorder from the 70s (though I own others, this one is my favourite!). It's a stereo recorder so you will always get a stereo .wav track.

You can choose the option that best suits you:

Basic - 2 mic Recording directly to tape (1 revision, 30 seconds).

This option is useful when you need a loop or an 8 bar phrase

Standard - 2 mic Recording directly to tape (3 revision, 4 minutes, basic mix).

Very useful if you want your song to have a crunchy drum sound.

Premium - 9 mic Recording through a mixing to tape (Unlimited revisions, 5 minutes, pro mix).

With this option you get a clearer sound. I use 9 mics to record the drums on an analog mixing board. I mix it there and then send the signal to the tape recorder.
