What's the difference between proofreading and copyediting?
Proofreading catches spelling, grammar, punctuation and typos. Copyediting also improves consistency, word choice and flow. My Standard and Premium packages include both.
Will you change my writing style?
Never. I correct errors and smooth rough edges without touching your voice. Everything comes back as tracked changes, so you're always in control.
Do you work in Spanish and English?
Yes, both. I'm a Spanish-language novelist fluent in English orthotypography as well as Spanish (rayas de diálogo, comillas angulares, cursivas). I have published 11 books in Spanish and I am supervising myself their translation to English.
Is this the right service for a first draft?
If your story structure is still changing, start with a developmental edit (see my other gig). Proofreading and copyediting work best once the content is final.
