FAQ
What types of educational materials do you format?
I format educational textbooks, student workbooks, curriculum plans, lesson plans, training manuals, activity books, study guides, course materials, and KDP print-ready books for both print and digital publishing platforms.
What file formats do you accept and deliver?
I accept manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.docx), Google Docs, or PDF. I deliver print-ready PDF, Kindle-ready EPUB/KPF, and editable source files in InDesign or Word depending on the package chosen.
Is the final file compatible with Amazon KDP and IngramSpark?
Yes. All deliverables are fully KDP-compliant with correct margins, bleed, trim size, and embedded fonts, ensuring smooth upload and approval on Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Lulu, and other major publishing platforms without rejection.
How many pages can you format in one order?
The Basic package covers up to 50 pages, Standard up to 120 pages, and the Premium package handles unlimited pages. For projects outside these ranges, message me first for a custom quote before ordering.
Do you design the book cover as well?
Yes. Book cover design is included in the Standard and Premium packages. The cover is designed to meet KDP's full cover template requirements including front, back, and spine, and delivered as a print-ready PDF.
What software do you use for formatting?
I primarily use Adobe InDesign for professional-grade typesetting and layout design. I also work in Canva for certain workbook and ebook styles, and Microsoft Word for clients who need editable Word-based deliverables.
Will I receive the editable source files?
Editable source files are included in the Standard and Premium packages. Basic package delivers the final formatted PDF only. If you need source files with the Basic package, please contact me to discuss a custom add-on.
Can you work on a manuscript that has already been partially formatted?
Absolutely. I regularly clean up and reformat existing manuscripts. Whether it is inconsistent styles, poor spacing, wrong margins, or a failed KDP upload, I can fix the existing file or rebuild the layout from scratch as needed.
What is your revision policy?
Basic orders include 2 revision rounds, Standard includes 3, and Premium includes unlimited revisions until you are fully satisfied. Revisions cover layout adjustments, styling changes, and corrections based on your feedback.
Should I contact you before placing an order?
Yes, I strongly recommend messaging me first. Every educational project is unique, and a quick conversation helps me understand your page count, audience, platform, and style preferences so I can confirm the right package and timeline for your project.
