I will create scientific illustrations and graphical abstracts for your paper

About this gig
Hi, I'm Gaby. I draw for scientists. My artwork was chosen for the cover of the Journal of Virology (American Society for Microbiology, April 2026).
WHAT I CREATE
- Journal cover art, TOC images and graphical abstracts
- Mechanism figures, pathway and process diagrams
- Realistic 3D-style molecular and cellular scenes
- Conference posters and presentation graphics
FIELDS: virology, microbiology, molecular and cell biology, immunology, biochemistry, neuroscience, pharma.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Send me your paper, abstract or a rough sketch.
2. I reply with a quote and a delivery date.
3. You approve a layout sketch before I render anything.
4. You get 300 DPI PNG/TIFF plus the editable AI or PSD file.
Made in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, to journal specs. CMYK and print-ready on request.
Every figure is drawn by hand from your data. No stock art, no templates. I also redraw rough figures that reviewers asked you to fix.
Your unpublished data stays confidential and I am happy to sign an NDA.
Message me before you order so I can confirm scope and date. I reply within a few hours.
Delivery style preference
Please inform the freelancer of any preferences or concerns regarding the use of AI tools in the completion and/or delivery of your order.

FAQ
Can you draw something that has never been imaged before?
Yes — that is most of my work. Send me your model, your data or even a whiteboard photo, and I will build a version that is scientifically defensible. You approve a sketch before I render, so nothing is wrong by the time it is finished art.
Who owns the artwork?
You do. On delivery you get full rights to publish the image in your paper, thesis, poster and talks. I keep the right to show it in my portfolio after your paper is public.
Do you follow journal figure guidelines?
Yes. Send me the journal name and I will match its size, resolution, colour mode and font rules before delivery. I have worked to ASM specifications, and I check the current author guidelines for every submission
What do you need from me to start?
The abstract or the relevant figure legend, any rough sketch, and the journal you are submitting to. If you have reference images or a previous figure you want to match, send those too. More context always makes it faster.
Is my unpublished data safe?
Yes. I do not share, post or reuse anything before your paper is public, and I am happy to sign your institution's NDA at no cost. Portfolio use only happens after publication, and only if you are comfortable with it.
Do you use AI to generate the images?
No. Every illustration is drawn by hand in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. That matters for publication: most journals now require you to disclose AI-generated imagery, and many will not accept it in figures.
