About this gig

I am Gaby Smiths, director of Lion Films, an audiovisual production company with over 17 years of experience. I have worked with Pixies (USA), Peter Hook & The Light (UK), Peter Murphy (UK), The Magic Numbers (UK), Attaque 77 (Argentina), Jethro Tull (UK), and Inspiral Carpets (UK), UB40 Ali Campbell (UK).


I directed the horror feature Los Turistas, Una Temporada en el Infierno, with 50+ actors, 10 sets, practical effects and a unique 7-day shoot. The film premiered in theaters, is available on Apple TV, Amazon Prime, Tubi TV and Roku, and won five awards in Argentina, Spain, and Colombia.

I also directed the slasher La Hacienda, El Regreso de los Malditos, winner of five awards in Mexico, India, and Argentina. Other works include the Canadian feature Almost Forgotten, the US short The Other Side of Nowhere, the UK co-production Jingle Hell, and the upcoming US feature Where Love Lies.
