FAQ
Is this for startups or enterprises?
Both. I’ve worked with teams scaling from a single service to 50M+ users and led monolith-to-microservices migrations. The first step is a 1-hour requirement gathering call so we align on your size, stack, and goals.
I already have a backend / payment system / app. Do you work with existing systems?
Yes. Every order starts with understanding your current system (stack, flows, pain points). I deliver a review and action plan for scale, then review and clsoure, or design documents and implementation plan with your team
Do you do implementation or only design/review?
It depends on the package. Basic/Standard focus on review + report and/or design + migration plan. Premium can include detailed API contracts and roadmap. Implementation can be part of the scope (e.g. Payment gig) or discussed as a custom offer after the design (Backend/AI).
How does your engagement model work—fixed scope or time-and-materials?
Fixed scope per package. We lock scope in the requirement gathering call and deliver against that. No open-ended T&M on the gig; for ongoing or variable work we can agree a custom offer.
What format are the deliverables in?
Written review and action plan, design docs (high-level and low-level where applicable), roadmap, and optionally API contracts or a working slice. Format is consistent so your team can pick up implementation.
How do you handle scope changes once we’ve started?
We align scope in the first call. If something new comes up that’s clearly out of scope, we can add it as a gig extra or a separate custom offer. If it was in scope and I missed it, I’ll fix it.
How do we schedule the requirement gathering and handover?
After you order, I propose times (async or calendar link). We do the call, then I deliver in the stated delivery time. Handover is one call (or two in Premium); we schedule it when the deliverable is ready.
Can we extend with more hours or another phase after this package?
Yes. Post-delivery support ($15 per hour, up to 5 calls) for follow-up questions. For a full extra phase (e.g. another review or design slice), we do a new order or custom offer.
What do you need from our side—access, docs, SME time?
Enough to understand the system: architecture/docs or a walkthrough, tech stack, and goals. One 1-hour call is the main SME time; more if we add follow-up sessions ($10 each). Implementation may need repo/API access; we agree when we get there.
How do you fit with our existing architecture or design review process?
Deliverables are standalone (reports, diagrams, roadmaps) so your architects can review and integrate. I don’t need to be in your governance flow; we can align in requirement gathering if you have specific templates or gates.
