FAQ
How broad is your accent? Is it real?
Having grown up in various parts of Scotland, my natural accent is clear and non-regional; however I can dial it up as much as you need over a range of regional variations. I can also read in a bunch of other accents on request!
Do you speak Gaelic?
Sadly I don't, despite having grown up surrounded by people who did!
I don't have a word count; can you charge based on the time length of my project?
Unfortunately not; a one-minute video voiceover for example could have 200 words or 20, so to charge the same for both would be unfair to the client with less to read. A precise word count is the best way to accurately gauge the amount of time/work required for a project and to price it accordingly.
If I'm not happy with part of a read, can I request a change?
Absolutely! I always include at least one revision with every read, so if there's something in the script you'd like read differently then don't hesitate to ask.
Is there anything you WON'T read?
Well anything that could be considered grossly offensive or discriminatory is off the table, but other than that anything goes!
