how many frame needed for X animation?
most common animations are: idle animation is around 6-8 frames. Walk cycle animation around 8-10 frames. a simple attack animation (like slashing sword or drawing bow) around 12 frames.
What level of detail (simple, semi-detailed, high-detail) for this character?
for simple animations consider 2 color shades for each color, and for semi to high detail is 3 or 4 color shades (shadow, highlight, etc)
how many frame per seconds will you use?
i will use 10 frame per seconds, or 100ms per frame.
