About this gig
Your Outlook mailbox does the same thing every day: invoices arrive, attachments need saving, some mail has to go to a folder or a colleague, and someone types up a report. I write the Python tool that does it for you.
What it can do: sort or move mail by sender, subject, keyword or attachment type. Save attachments into the right folder, renamed by date, client or invoice number. Pull data out of emails and attachments into an Excel or CSV report. Send a daily or weekly summary, forward or reply by rule. Run on a schedule on your Windows machine, no cloud, no subscription.
It works with the Outlook desktop app or directly with Microsoft 365 or IMAP, whichever your setup allows.
How it works: you describe the rule and send an example email or two (masked is fine). I confirm the scope in a few lines, build it, and send back the tool with source code and a short guide. If a mail format changes later and breaks something, I fix it.

FAQ
Does it work with Microsoft 365 or only the desktop Outlook app?
Both. On a Windows PC with Outlook installed I use the desktop app directly. Otherwise I connect to Microsoft 365 or IMAP with your credentials, which you enter yourself in a config file.
Do I have to share my mailbox password?
No. I build and test on my side with sample emails you send me. Credentials go into a config file on your machine, you enter them yourself and they never leave your computer.
