Yes! I implement Webhooks to listen for events from the payment provider. When a payment succeeds, your database (Supabase, Firebase, etc.) will be updated instantly to grant the user access or change their subscription status.
What is the difference between Stripe and Lemon Squeezy/Paddle?
Stripe is a payment processor where you are responsible for sales tax (VAT). Lemon Squeezy and Paddle act as a Merchant of Record (MoR), meaning they handle all global taxes for you. If you don't want to deal with international tax laws, I recommend the MoR route.
