About this Gig
As both a reader and a writer, I can give you an honest critique and feedback on your story, as well as proven solutions and pathways to bring your story and your writing to the next level. Whether you plan to publish soon or enter the query trenches, I want to help you give your best first impression.
What I will focus on:
- Reading thoroughly both on a surface level and deeper into the layers of the text
- In line comments on anything that jumps out, both positive and negative, from a readers perspective
- Flagging any minor typos, repeated words or phrases, weak/unnecessary sentences or descriptions
- A report detailing strengths and weaknesses of the text and constructive ways these can be improved to benefit the overall story
My goal is to polish and strengthen the work you have already done so your reader gets the best first impression of your story.

What genres do you read?
I have a love for horror, gothic, thriller, and darker fiction. However, I do also read and review non-fiction, literary fiction, speculative fiction, fantasy, and sci-fi - this includes YA and adult fiction.
Do you work on stories over 100k words?
Yes, I am happy to. Please contact me directly for a quote on any bigger or smaller works
What if I haven't finished my story yet?
If you are looking for feedback on an unfinished story, I would be happy to give my insight on any partial or first drafts you have - I made another gig for that so message first! Just let me know that it is not yet fully completed and I will adjust my suggestions accordingly.
What if I only have one specific aspect of my story that I want you to focus on?
If you know exactly what you want, whether it is feedback on one specific thing or maybe a couple, you can let me know and I will tailor my feedback to only include those parts that you have requested.
Do you do discounts on second drafts?
If I have already read an initial or partial draft of your story and you wish to get some feedback on a subsequent draft, you can contact me directly and I would be happy to set up a custom offer for you to get your story one step closed to being published.
