What if the code is really messy or undocumented?
That's normal for this kind of project. Basic gets you an honest assessment regardless of how messy it is, before you spend more on fixing it.
Do you need access to the previous developer's accounts?
I need access to the code repository and any services it depends on (Firebase, APIs, etc). If you don't have those credentials, tell me, we'll figure out what's recoverable.
What if the app needs more work than the package covers?
I'll quote the remaining work clearly after the initial review, no surprises mid-project.
Can you tell me if the previous developer did a bad job?
I'll give you a straight technical assessment of the code quality and what's missing. What you do with that is up to you.
Do I get the report even if I don't continue with the fixes?
Yes, Basic is exactly that: an honest review, no obligation to continue with me.
Will you need to rewrite everything from scratch?
Not usually. Most takeovers keep the working parts and fix or finish the rest. I'll tell you upfront if a full rewrite is genuinely the better option.
