What is an MCP server and do I actually need one?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard from Anthropic that lets AI models like Claude, GPT, and Cursor securely access your data, APIs, and tools. If you want your AI to query your database, fetch live data, send emails, or control software — you need an MCP server.
Which AI clients does your MCP server work with?
All MCP-compatible clients — Claude Desktop, Cursor, Continue, Cline, Zed, Windsurf, and any custom agent built on the MCP SDK. I deliver a ready-to-paste config file for whichever client you use.
Python or TypeScript, which should I choose?
Python (FastMCP) is best for data-heavy work, ML pipelines, and most internal tools. TypeScript is best if your existing stack is Node.js or you want browser-side clients. I'm fluent in both — pick whichever fits your stack, or let me recommend.
What if the MCP spec updates after delivery?
The MCP spec is evolving fast. My Premium package includes 30 days of post-delivery support, which covers spec-compatibility fixes if Anthropic ships breaking changes. For Basic and Standard, I offer fair-priced spec-update extras.
Can you host the MCP server for me?
The Standard and Premium packages include Docker deployment, and Premium includes deploying to your cloud (AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean, Fly.io). I don't host on my own infrastructure — your server lives on your accounts where you control it.
How do I know it actually works before paying the final?
Every delivery includes a Loom video walkthrough where I run the MCP server live, connect it to a real AI client, and demonstrate every tool. You see it working before you mark the order complete.
What do you need from me to start?
Just (1) a description of what your AI should be able to do, (2) details or access to the data sources/APIs you want connected, (3) which AI client you're using (Claude Desktop, Cursor, etc.), and (4) preferred language (Python or TypeScript). I'll handle the technical design.
