Congratulations, you've written a novel! The hard part is over, and now the real fun begins.
Developmental editing provides you with an extra set of eyes and feedback on plot and character development, voice and tone, the pacing of the writing, and suggestions for strengthening the writing itself.
As a writer, I understand how nerve-wracking the editing process is, especially when branching out past loved ones as your first readers, so my comments and suggestions are always honest, but kindly worded. We're on the same team, and editing with me is always a no-tears-shed experience.
