About this Gig
I proofread and edit theses and dissertations you have already written, so your own work reads clearly and follows APA or Harvard style.
What I check:
- Grammar, spelling, punctuation and sentence clarity
- Consistent UK or US English, terminology and tone
- In-text citations against your reference list (APA 7 or Harvard)
- Headings, tables, figures and captions
- Similarity Report Review & Referencing Check: if you share your similarity report, I review the matches and fix citations and referencing. I never reword text to lower a score.
How I work: every change is in Microsoft Word tracked changes with comments, so you accept or reject each edit and remain the author.
What I don't do: I don't write, rewrite or paraphrase chapters for you, and I don't do coursework. Please check your university's rules on editing before ordering.
About me: I'm Muhammad Haris, a self-employed research consultant since 2020 with an MBA (Marketing) from COMSATS. I work in English and Urdu.

FAQ
Will you write or rewrite my thesis for me?
No. I edit existing work only and never write assessed coursework, theses or dissertations. I correct language, clarity and referencing in the text you wrote, and every change is shown in tracked changes so you stay the author.
Which referencing styles do you check?
APA 7 and Harvard are my main styles. If your university uses its own Harvard variant, send me the guide and I will follow it. I check in-text citations against the reference list and flag anything missing for you to complete.
What is the Similarity Report Review & Referencing Check?
If you already have a similarity report, share it and I review the highlighted matches. I fix missing or incorrect citations and quotation marks. I never reword text to lower a score; if a passage needs rewriting, I comment so you can revise it yourself.
Is editing allowed by my university?
Many universities allow proofreading of your own work but set limits. Please check your institution's editing policy, or ask your supervisor, before ordering. I am happy to work within any limits you share with me.
What do I receive?
A Word file with tracked changes and comments, plus a clean copy. If you send a PDF, I return comments on the PDF or ask you for the Word version first.
