FAQ
Do I need a 3D printer to use the STL file I receive
No, you do not need your own 3D printer to use this service. What you receive is a digital STL file — a ready-to-print blueprint of your custom character sculpt. You can take that file to a local print shop, or a friend with a printer. The STL file is yours to print as many times as you like.
What scale are DnD miniatures - 28mm or 32mm? Which should I order?
Standard tabletop miniatures come in 28mm or 32mm scale, with 32mm now the most popular for D&D and Pathfinder due to the extra space for fine detail. By default, I sculpt at 32mm unless you request otherwise. If you want a display statue or collector piece, I also offer 75mm scale for display figs.
What reference or information do I need to provide for a custom character sculpt?
The more detail you give, the more faithful your miniature. The best commissions include: a character sheet (race, class, subclass), reference images or concept art, a description of their armour, weapons, clothing, and any distinguishing features, and a preferred pose or mood.
What is a pre-supported STL file, and do I need one?
A pre-supported STL already has support structures built into the file, designed specifically for resin printing. If you are printing on a resin printer (MSLA/DLP/SLA) at home and you are newer to the hobby, I strongly recommend adding the pre-supported upgrade to your order. DM for more details.
Can you sculpt monsters, boss creatures, and NPCs - not just hero characters?
Yes - monsters, bosses, and NPCs are some of my favourite commissions. This service is not limited to player characters. I sculpt D&D homebrew monsters, boss encounter figures, Critical Role inspired characters, Pathfinder creatures, dungeon beasts & original fantasy creatures from description alone
