Do you host the Slack bot for me, or do I host it?
I can make and provide you will the complete source code for the bot but I can not provide with hosting services, but I will help you to deploy it on a cloud or local server of your preference.
What do I need to provide before we start?
A slack bot requires workspace specific authentication tokens and for specific tasks also needs admin access to that workspace. So a slack workspace will be needed, and for some features the required workspace features will be needed too.
Will my Slack tokens and API credentials be secure?
Yes, absolutely. I design all scripts to load sensitive credentials securely using environment variables (.env files). Your private tokens and keys should never be hardcoded into the scripts directly.
Can you update or modify an existing Slack bot I already have?
Yes, I can work with existing codebases! However, please note that I only work with Python. I do not work with JavaScript or TypeScript. Please send me a message with your current Python script and a clear explanation of the new features or bug fixes you need so I can review it first.
What happens if the bot stops working or has a bug later?
Every package comes with dedicated revisions to fix any initial setup bugs. If an external API changes its structure months down the road and breaks the connection, you can always message me to open a small update order to fix it.
