FAQ
Do you write book descriptions for non-fiction books?
If your book is non-fiction but story-based (i.e. a memoir) then it's perfect for my services. If your book is more educational (i.e. self-help, how-to, business etc.) I will happily recommend writers who specialize in that field. If you're unsure, send me a message to discuss.
What do I need to provide for my book blurb?
A 1 to 2 page synopsis of your story (from start to finish) is required. I won't include spoilers in the description, but I do need to understand the full scope of the novel or memoir to best position its key hook and selling points. I might also send follow-up questions if needed.
What is the difference between a book description vs. a synopsis?
A synopsis summarizes all the key characters and plot points in your story, from start to finish. Sometimes agents and publishers will request a synopsis of your book. A book description is a 150 - 200 word marketing hook for potential readers and therefore doesn't include spoilers.
