Most Ableton tutorials hand you information, and the internet is full of that. What you get from me is an ear. Someone who can hear what a track needs and tell you exactly why, from 25+ years inside electronic music: releases on Toolroom and Yoshitoshi, ten years behind the decks at Bora Bora, and years teaching at Point Blank Ibiza.
These are 1:1 Ableton Live sessions over Zoom, tailored to your level.
Opening Ableton for the first time, or sitting on half-finished tracks you can't close out? We work to where you are. Complete beginners welcome. So are gigging producers who want a sharper ear on their tracks.
Things we can work on:
- Turning a loop into a finished, released track
- Arrangement, structure and holding energy across a track
- Low end that works: getting your kick and bass to sit together
- A balanced mix that's ready for mastering
- Or bring a track and we'll pull it apart: mix, arrangement, what's working and what isn't

How does an online lesson work?
It's pretty straight forward, I will send you a private ZOOM meeting link, before our lesson is scheduled to start. Once the class begins & we're inside ZOOM, you will be able to see my screen, hear my audio/music and voice & you can share your screen with me. Plus you can record the class!!
Can you teach a complete beginner?
Of course! It doesn’t matter if you have absolutely no previous experience! We can start from zero & make progress :)
Can you teach someone who already has some experience?
Of course! The sky's the limit! If you want to learn some new tips and tricks, top up your production skills!! You've come to the right place!
Can you teach me how to make music like my favourite Artists?
Most definitely! One of my most popular classes, is the deconstruction & analysis of a favourite artist's track. We can learn a lot from this exercise. We gain insight into how your favourite artist produces & arranges their music! That's gold!
Can you help me develop a song / idea?
Sure thing! Students of mine, will often send a project they're working on. I will listen, & prepare notes about the track. Then in our next class, we will go over the project together & I'll give you feedback, tips on how you can improve, parts, mix, arrangement, variation & interest.
I make (insert your genre of choice here) can you help me with that?
If It's Electronic, I've got you covered! Specialities include; Minimal, Techno, House, Tech House - Deep, Dub, Melodic. I also make Hip Hop & Ambient. Along with Making Club Tracks for Dj's!! I've released my own music on Yoshitoshi, Toolroom Recs & many more

Heath delivered on a very demanding sound design project of motors from a relatively poor quality recording. While his sound design was on point, what made him shine was his proactive communication, precision deadline management, and his ability to continually push the project along when I was occupied with other matters. 10/10 would hire again!
