FAQ
Why should I switch to a self hosted n8n server instance?
Moving to self hosted n8n eliminates restrictive cloud execution limits. You gain absolute server control, full data ownership, and zero platform monthly bills.
Can you install n8n on my digitalocean or aws server?
Yes. As an expert systems deployment engineer, Heinrich Weber configures clean Docker environments on AWS, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Linode, or any Linux Ubuntu server.
Will my webhooks remain secure after the n8n installation?
Absolutely. Every instance includes automated Let's Encrypt SSL certificate provisioning, forcing tight HTTPS communication protocols to guard sensitive workflow automation endpoints securely.
How do you prevent data loss if the server crashes?
My premium tier implements production ready Postgres database structures alongside scheduled cron job automation scripts, safely backing up workflow data straight to remote storage.
Do I need to buy a cloud license for this setup?
No cloud license is required. We deploy the official open source n8n community engine, unlocking complete software freedom without continuous subscription dependencies
What happens if my self hosted n8n node execution slows down?
I optimize execution parameters, prune execution logs natively, and allocate proper memory thresholds directly within Docker settings to guarantee sustained high performance.
What do you need to start my workflow infrastructure setup?
I require standard SSH access credentials to a clean Ubuntu VPS, your preferred domain login, and your target platform SMTP details to complete everything.
