Yes. I always work on a staging copy first when possible, test thoroughly, and provide backup instructions. For live sites, I recommend making a backup before I start — I can guide you through that.
Do I need to give you admin access?
For most work, yes — I need WP admin or FTP/SFTP access to diagnose and fix issues. I recommend creating a temporary admin account for me that you can delete after the job is done.
Will this work with my theme and other plugins?
I always check for compatibility before applying fixes. If a plugin conflict is the root cause of your issue, I'll let you know and discuss options.
