Can you model based only on a 2D floor plan without elevations or sketches?
Yes, but providing at least one elevation or facade reference improves accuracy and reduces assumptions.
What software do you use for the process?
I use SketchUp for 3d modelling, and for rendering, I mostly use Lumion and Enscape.
