About this Gig
Make your website truly GDPR & CCPA Compliant. How? Let's see
IP addresses are personal information under GDPR and CCPA. So it is a must to anonymize IP in Google Analytics. But most of the websites are not IP anonymized in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
Google Analytics tracks and stores the IP addresses of your website users in order to report on geolocation data. Under CCPA and GDPR it is necessary to anonymize those IP addresses.
When anonymizing IP in Google Analytics, the last three digits from your website visitor's IP address are automatically dropped/deleted which set a mask on the user's IP address.
