What details do you need before starting my ecommerce website?
At minimum: what you're selling, how many products, which country you'll accept payments from, and any design references (websites you like, Figma files, or brand guidelines). If you don't have a design, I can implement a clean, conversion-focused layout based on your brand.
Do you build from scratch or use templates?
100% from scratch. Every project is custom React or Next.js — no Shopify themes, no WooCommerce plugins, no page builders. You get code written specifically for your store, which means it's faster, more flexible, and you own it completely.
Which payment gateways do you support?
Stripe, PayPal, Paystack, and Flutterwave. If you need a different gateway (Razorpay, Square, Braintree, etc.), message me — most can be integrated with a custom quote.
Will I be able to manage my products after delivery?
Yes. Standard and Premium include a headless CMS (PayloadCMS or Sanity) so you or your team can add, edit, and remove products without touching code. Basic uses a simple data structure — still manageable, just requires a developer for larger catalog changes.
Is SEO included?
Yes, on every package. This includes semantic HTML, meta titles and descriptions, Open Graph tags, XML sitemap, canonical URLs, and Next.js static generation for fast page loads. SEO is built into the architecture from day one, not bolted on at the end.
Can you migrate my existing Shopify or WooCommerce store?
Yes. I can migrate your product catalog, content, and structure into a custom React/Next.js store. This is typically scoped as a Standard or Premium project. Message me with details about your current store and I'll advise on the best migration approach.
Do you handle hosting and deployment?
Yes. Basic and Standard deploy to Vercel (fastest for Next.js, includes custom domain setup). Premium deploys to AWS (EC2 + CloudFront CDN) with a full CI/CD pipeline via GitHub Actions so updates go live automatically. Hosting costs are separate from my fee.
How many products can the store handle?
Basic handles up to 50 products. Standard handles up to 500. Premium is built for unlimited scale with a database-backed catalog and search. If you're unsure, tell me your catalog size and I'll recommend the right package.
What if I need features added after delivery?
I'm available for ongoing work via new orders or at am hourly rate. The clean, documented codebase I deliver also makes it easy for any other developer to continue the work if needed.
Do you redesign or add features to existing React/Next.js sites?
Yes. If you have a site already built in React or Next.js and need a redesign, new features, performance improvements, or additional ecommerce functionality, send me the codebase and I'll review it before we agree on scope.
