I will create a restaurant food cost tracker in google sheets
Website, SEO, EMAIL Marketing for small businesses
About this Gig
Do you know exactly what each dish costs you to make? Most owners dont, and thats where profit disappears.
Im Ian, a Toronto operator with 10+ years running food businesses. I helped grow a catering company from $1M to $4.5M by keeping a tight handle on food cost, labour and inventory. Ill build you the same kind of tracker I use, in Google Sheets.
What I can build for you:
- Recipe costing: see the true cost and profit margin of every dish
- Food cost % calculator so you know if your prices are right
- Inventory tracker with par levels and reorder alerts
- Weekly order sheets for your suppliers
- Waste log to see where money is getting thrown out
- Simple labour cost tracker by shift
Perfect for restaurants, cafes, bakeries, food trucks and caterers.
Everything is built in Google Sheets (Excel available too), with clear instructions so your team can use it from day one. No spreadsheet skills needed.

FAQ
What do you need from me to get started?
Your menu, your recipes with portion sizes, and recent supplier invoices or price lists. If you don’t have recipes written down, I’ll send you a simple form to fill in.
Can you use my real recipes and supplier prices?
Yes. Send them over and I’ll load them in so the sheet is ready to use on day one. You can add this as an extra when you order.
Will this tell me what to charge for my dishes?
It shows the food cost % and profit for every dish, so you can see which items to reprice. The final pricing decision is yours.
Can I add more dishes later?
Yes. The sheet is fully editable, and adding a new dish takes a couple of minutes.
Do I need to know spreadsheets?
No. You type in ingredient prices and quantities, and the sheet does the math. I include simple instructions so anyone on your team can use it.
Google Sheets or Excel?
Google Sheets is free and works on any phone or computer, so I recommend it, but I can deliver in Excel too.
