What files do you need from me to start working on my book?
You'll have to provide me with a Doc or a Docx file for me to format your book professionally. Please discuss with me in advance if you've an alternative manuscript file like a PDF.
What software do you use for formatting the books?
Being in this industry as a professional book designer for more than half a decade now, I use Adobe Indesign for formatting most of the books.
Do you format Kindle eBooks?
Yes! I sure do. I can format your book into an ePUB which you'll be able to upload as an eBook on KDP, IngramSpark, Apple Books, Draft2Digitals and all other platforms supporting ePUBs.
Do you need any other details from me, other than my manuscript file?
Yes, I will be requiring the following details: 1. Your Book Genre & Target Audience? 2. Your desired Trim Size for Print Book? 2. Total No. of Pages 3. Estimated length of your book? Page + Word Count. 4. # of graphics/images/tables in your script? 5. Your desired timeline for the project?
What if my Book is more than 30K Words or I don't know what to order or which package to choose?
That's not an issue at all. Just send me a message in inbox along with your book details and your final manuscript and I will help you in choosing the right package or will provide you with a CUSTOM QUOTE.
Can you provide me with a source file?
Yes, I always deliver the source file at the end of the project in Adobe Indesign format. This will make all future edits easier on you.
What if my formatted file shows any errors in the KDP Previewer?
Don't Worry! Sometimes KDP messes up with your nerves like that. Just send me the complete screenshot of your KDP Previewer in the inbox. I'll brief you on what the issue is for free & will assist you until your book is completely APPROVED BY KDP.
Do you design Book Covers too?
Yess. I design genre-specific Book Covers for paperbacks, eBooks, and hardcovers. Please note: I am not an illustrator, so I do not provide custom artwork, instead I use Stock Images & the magic of my graphic design skills to create unique cover art using existing images, elements, and graphics.
What type of images should be used in my Print Book?
All your interior images must be 300dpi (high resolution) for optimal printing. Images less than that may look good digitally but it will impact the visuals after Print.
Do you format Children's Book, Photo Books and CookBooks?
Yes, I do format books of various niches with and without bleeds depending upon the requires specifications.
