Which platform is best for my business: cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin, Zimbra, Zoho Mail, or IceWarp?
It depends on who runs the server. cPanel, Plesk, and DirectAdmin are hosting control panels, so email comes bundled with your web hosting. That is convenient and cheap but ties deliverability to your host's IP reputation.
Can you move my existing mailboxes to a new platform without losing emails?
Yes. I migrate mail over IMAP while your old system keeps receiving messages, verify folder structure and message counts, then switch the MX records once everything matches. Contacts and calendars migrate where the source and destination support it.
My email is set up but messages still go to spam. Is that part of this?
Partly. I configure SPF, DKIM, DMARC as part of every setup, which fixes the most common cause. If problems continue, the cause is often a shared hosting IP with a poor reputation or blacklisting, I will tell you honestly if that is your situation rather than promise authentication alone solves it.
Do I need to give you server or root access?
For cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin, and Zoho Mail, panel or admin console access is enough. For self-hosted Zimbra and IceWarp, I need SSH or admin panel access. If you prefer not to share that, I can walk your sysadmin through the exact steps instead.
Can you connect the mailboxes to Outlook, Gmail, and my staff's phones?
Yes. I configure IMAP/SMTP settings with correct ports and SSL/TLS on Outlook, Apple Mail, Gmail, and iOS/Android, and give you a one-page setup guide so new hires can connect their own devices later.
What do you need from me to start, and how fast can it be live?
Your domain name, DNS access, admin or server access to your chosen platform, and a list of mailboxes needed. If migrating, access to the old email accounts too.
