I will analyze your soil characterstics data and create agronomic reports

About this gig
CONTACT ME BEFORE ORDERING to discuss your dataset and get an accurate quote.
Want to know what kind of soil in your farm site? i will guide you how to manage it, or if you have raw soil survey data sitting in spreadsheets or field tally sheets, but no clear picture of what it means for land management decisions? That's exactly where I come in.
I hold a B.Sc. in Soil Science and have 8 years of experience in soil survey, data analysis, and land management including 1.5 years leading soil data collection across ~5,000 hectares/month for a plantation-scale operation. I've converted raw field data into Soil Management Unit (SMU) maps that operations teams used directly for fertilization and land-use decisions.
SERVICES INCLUDE: Soil data cleaning, organization, and quality control
Soil Management Unit (SMU) mapping and classification
Agronomic report writing (fertility status, land capability, recommendations)
Soil sampling design and survey methodology
Ground-truth verification planning for field data
Digitization of manual/paper-based soil survey data
DATA & SOFTWARE STACK: ArcGis | QGIS | Excel/Google Sheets | Google AppScript (for field data digitization)

FAQ
What format should my raw soil data be in?
Any format works : Excel, CSV, or even scanned/photographed field tally sheets. If your data is still on paper, let me know; I can advise on how to digitize it efficiently, or handle it as part of a custom scope
Do you need lab-tested soil data, or can you work with basic field observations?
Both. Lab data (pH, Micro-Macro Nutrient, texture, etc.) allows for more precise classification, but I can also work with field-level observations based by USDA Taxonomy (color, texture, structure by feel, drainage, slope) for basic land capability assessment if lab testing isn't available yet
What is a Soil Management Unit (SMU) map, and do I need one?
An SMU map groups land into zones with similar soil characteristics, so management decisions (like fertilization rate or crop suitability) can be applied consistently per zone instead of guessing across an entire area
Can you help design a soil sampling plan if I haven't collected data yet?
Yes. This can be scoped as part of a custom project. I can recommend sampling density, point placement, and parameters to test based on your land size and intended use
How is this different from your GIS Mapping or Remote Sensing gigs?
This gig focuses on soil data itself — lab/field measurements and what they mean for land management. My Remote Sensing gig covers satellite-based vegetation monitoring, and my GIS Mapping gig covers spatial/vector analysis (buffers, overlays, suitability)
