I already have a cookie banner. Why do I still need Consent Mode V2?
Banners only show popups. Consent Mode V2 actually tells GA4/Google Ads how to handle data based on user choice. Without it, you lose EU tracking data or face non-compliance penalties. It bridges your banner and Google.
Will this actually recover my lost conversions?
Yes. Google's Conversion Modeling recovers roughly 15% to 30% of lost conversion data from users who decline cookies. While it won't restore 100% of the data, it is a huge lift compared to having no Consent Mode.
Do I need this if I only sell to the US?
Yes, if you get any EU/UK traffic or run global ads. Also, US states like California (CCPA) have strict privacy laws. This setup ensures your website remains compliant with both EU and US privacy regulations.
What if I don't have a developer to implement this?
You do not need a developer. I handle everything via Google Tag Manager (GTM). It requires zero code changes to your website backend. All I need from you is access to your GTM container.
How long until I see results in my reporting?
Raw consent data flows instantly post-setup. However, Google’s machine learning modeling needs about 7 to 14 days of data volume to stabilize and show meaningful recovered conversions in your reports.
Can you also fix my Meta/Facebook tracking at the same time?
Yes, Facebook tracking is fully covered in my Premium package. I will integrate Meta Conversions API (CAPI) alongside Consent Mode V2 so both platforms respect the exact same user consent signals.
What information do you need from me to start?
