About this Gig
Stop relying on cloud hubs and take control of your home. I will help you set up a secure, private, and local automation server on your Raspberry Pi. You will work directly with me to get a system tailored to your hardware.
THE PACKAGES:
The Foundation (HAOS): I will guide you through flashing your SD card and perform a full Home Assistant OS installation. Includes initial user setup and basic instructions to get you started.

Smart Home Pro (Docker): For users with powerful hardware (like a Pi 5 8GB) who want to run other services alongside HA, or those with a working system they cannot afford to reflash. PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE ORDERING THIS TIER.

FAQ
Why do I need to contact you before ordering Tier 3 (Docker)?
While Docker sounds "better" or more advanced, it is actually a trade-off. You lose the supervised "Add-on Store" and official backup system of HAOS to gain the ability to run other apps. You should only choose Docker if you have to (e.g., you need to use the Pi for other specific tasks) not just be
Do I need a domain for remote access?
For the Smart Home Pro tiers, a custom domain is the most secure way to use Caddy and Cloudflare. If you don't have one, we can discuss options, but a domain is recommended for the best experience.
Can I use WiFi instead of Ethernet?
While possible, Ethernet is highly recommended for a smart home hub. WiFi can lead to dropouts and "ghost" device issues. If you must use WiFi, please let me know so we can optimize the setup.
What happens if I have a Pi 5?
For a Pi 5, I strongly recommend using an NVMe hat and drive instead of an SD card. It significantly improves speed and reliability for your home database.
