How long is the guide?

Leisure travellers: holidays, backpacking, honeymoons, general tourism. A separate business-traveller edition is planned. This guide focuses on everyday cultural etiquette, not high-stakes negotiation.
How current is the information?
All content is current for 2026 and includes post-COVID greeting shifts. LGBTQ+ legal status, tipping rates, and country-specific warnings are all cross-referenced against 2024–2026 sources.
How often is it updated, and where does the information come from?
I review and update the guide once a year. It draws on cross-cultural research, published country guides, and my own experience living and working abroad. Where customs vary by region or age group, I say so rather than pretending there's one rule for everyone.
