About this Gig
Don't embarrass yourself abroad
Every country has its own rules. How close you stand. Whether you look someone in the eye. What your hands are doing while you talk. Get one wrong, and you'll feel it in the room; you just won't know why.
Where this helps
- Your first day in a new country for work
- Meeting your partner's family abroad
- A conference or trade show overseas
- Bargaining in a market without causing offence
- Eating at someone's home as a guest
- A long layover in a city you've never been to
What you get
The same clear layout for every country: greetings, eye contact, personal space, tipping, and the one gesture you should never make there. Plus a 60-second summary you can scan before you land.
Choose your level
- Starter: one country of your choice.
- Complete all 12 countries, for travellers with more than one stop.
- Ultimate: the full bundle plus a briefing for your trip.
Ready when you are
Tell me where you're going. I'll make sure you don't get it wrong.

FAQ
How is the guide delivered?
As a professionally designed PDF, sent via Fiverr message on delivery. Opens on any phone, tablet, computer, or e-reader. Works offline; read it on the plane.
How long is the guide?
About 60–70 pages of scannable, well-organised content, not dense prose. Each country chapter is around 5 pages. Bonus sections (Danger Cards, Airport Reads, Comparison Tables) are quick-flip references.
Which countries are covered?
France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Germany, the UK, the USA, Mexico, Japan, China, Thailand, and Turkey. All the most-visited tourist countries plus a couple of high-value additions.
Is this for business travellers or leisure?
Leisure travellers: holidays, backpacking, honeymoons, general tourism. A separate business-traveller edition is planned. This guide focuses on everyday cultural etiquette, not high-stakes negotiation.
How current is the information?
All content is current for 2026 and includes post-COVID greeting shifts. LGBTQ+ legal status, tipping rates, and country-specific warnings are all cross-referenced against 2024–2026 sources.
How often is it updated, and where does the information come from?
I review and update the guide once a year. It draws on cross-cultural research, published country guides, and my own experience living and working abroad. Where customs vary by region or age group, I say so rather than pretending there's one rule for everyone.
