FAQ
What does a book coach actually do?
I work through your manuscript with you in live sessions, helping with story development, plot, character, structure, and the habits that get a draft finished. It is guidance on your own book, not generic writing advice.
Do you write any of the book for me?
No. This is novel coaching, so the writing stays yours. I point out what is working, what is not, and how to fix it. If you want someone to write it for you, that is a different service.
What happens in a session?
Each session runs up to 60 minutes and focuses on the specific problem you bring, whether that is a stalled middle, a flat character, or a plot that does not hold together. Tell me your goal before we start and we use the time on that.
How many sessions do I get?
Basic includes 1 session, Standard includes 3, and Premium includes 6.
Do you read my manuscript?
Standard includes written manuscript notes on up to 10,000 words, and Premium covers the full manuscript. Basic is one session focused on a single issue, so it works from a short sample you send beforehand.
Will I get notes after each session?
Yes. Standard and Premium include a session summary and follow-up assignments, so you leave each call knowing exactly what to work on next.
What stage does my book need to be at?
Any stage. I work with writers who are still outlining, stuck halfway through a draft, or revising a finished manuscript. Tell me where you are and I will tell you which package fits.
Do you coach fiction only?
This gig is built around fiction and novel coaching. If your book is non-fiction or a memoir, message me first and I will tell you honestly whether I am the right fit.
Can you guarantee my book will get published or sell?
No one can honestly promise that. What I can promise is honest, specific feedback aimed at making the book stronger, not just encouragement.
