FAQ
What are your qualifications?
I received a first-class honours degree in Creative Writing from Leeds Arts University, and the Tees Valley Development Award from the 2026 Northern Writers Award for my first novel.
What is your editorial experience?
I consistently take part in crit groups with my writing peers, and offer editorial feedback on many forms, including prose, poetry, and script. In my day job, I help perfect UCAS personal statements, coursework, essays, as well as creative writing in the student newsletter and performing arts plays.
What genres will you work with?
I specialise in literary fiction, but I am happy and eager to work with anything! Need advice on fantasy world building, romantic tension, historical accuracy, or sci-fi logic? I'm all in!
What do you mean by 'writing theory?'
During edits, I will introduce to you the ideas and writings of other authors, and incorporate their advice into your work to help you with your own reflections and re-evaluation. Not only will this give you actionable feedback based on my suggestions, but aid you with future independence in edits.
What do you write?
I write literary fiction, having written two novels in the wide genre, one of which overlapping with historical fiction. I am deeply involved in research, fact checking, and accuracy in my writing, and love to delve into others' work to achieve the same goals and satisfaction.
