You applied for a role at a company you love. It's your dream job. Everything checks out. 

Congrats! Your resume defeated the ATS and made it to the hiring managers desk. 

A few days/weeks later, you receive the email: 

"You've been shortlisted as part of the candidates we are considering for this role. But first, here's an assignment you must work on to make it to the interview stage."

You have the skills to do the job, but not enough time for assignments like this, given the opportunity cost to your other day-to-day activities.
