What is a headless Shopify store?
Shopify manages your products, inventory, orders and checkout while the customer-facing storefront is custom-built separately using Next.js. This gives you greater control over design, frontend performance and the shopping experience.
Can I still manage my products from Shopify?
Yes. You continue managing products, collections, pricing, inventory and orders through Shopify. The custom Next.js storefront retrieves your commerce data from Shopify.
Do you use a Shopify theme?
This Gig is specifically for a custom headless storefront, so the customer-facing website is built in Next.js rather than being limited to a traditional Shopify theme.
Can you build from my Figma design?
Yes. I can develop from an existing Figma design, your current website, brand guidelines or agreed reference websites.
Does checkout still use Shopify?
Yes. The normal scope uses Shopify's checkout system so Shopify continues handling the secure checkout and commerce flow.
Can you redesign my existing Shopify store?
Yes. Send me your existing store and desired changes first. I will review whether a headless rebuild is suitable for your goals.
Are Shopify apps included?
Standard integrations can be added when compatible with a headless architecture. Please message me before ordering if you need subscriptions, reviews, advanced search, multilingual features or another Shopify app.
