About this Gig
Stanford University alumnus, PhD | 15 years of editing experience
I'm Matt. I've helped over 2,500 students improve application essays and personal statements, including applications to Harvard Business School, Stanford GSB, Berkeley Haas, London Business School, and NYU Stern.
A strong MBA essay goes beyond polished language. It should connect your experiences and achievements to your motivations and career goals while reflecting who you are.
My editing focuses on accuracy, clarity, and flow while preserving your ideas, meaning, and personal voice. The scope depends on your package:
PROOFREAD: Grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
STRUCTURE: Proofreading, line editing, and structural editing.
COMPLETE: All the above, plus admissions-focused feedback on content, organization, examples, and how your experiences connect to your goals.
Feedback is also available as an extra with other packages.
Every order includes a Track Changes document and a clean version.
Unsure which package fits? Feel free to contact me before ordering.

FAQ
What does your admissions-focused feedback cover?
I assess how well your essay answers the prompt, uses specific examples, and connects your experiences to your goals. I highlight strengths and areas for improvement. Feedback is included in COMPLETE or available as an extra.
Can you write my MBA essay from scratch?
No. I edit your existing draft according to the package you choose, while preserving your ideas and personal voice. I don't write application essays on behalf of applicants.
What does the included revision cover?
The included revision covers reasonable adjustments to my delivered edit based on your feedback. New content, new application prompts, or material added after delivery may require an additional order or extra.
Can you help me meet my MBA essay's word limit?
Yes. The Reduce Word Count extra covers removing up to 100 words while preserving your meaning. For larger reductions, please contact me before ordering so I can assess the work required.
