I will compress wav or flac to high quality aac audio

I will encode your WAV or FLAC audio files to high-quality AAC, using carefully selected encoding settings to preserve as much of the original sound quality as reasonably possible.

Compatible metadata and embedded cover artwork will be retained where supported by the source file, output format and encoding tools. Each converted file will be checked before delivery.

Sample rates up to 192 kHz are accepted for source files. However, due to the technical limitations of the AAC codec, any source above 96 kHz will be downsampled to 96 kHz for conversion. This limitation is fixed and cannot be waived.

AAC is a lossy format, so some audio information is necessarily discarded. The resulting file will generally be smaller than the original, often around one-third to two-thirds of its size, depending on the source and encoding settings. Actual results may vary.

Delivery will be made within the timeframe specified in your selected package. Revisions are not included. This service covers format conversion only, not remastering, restoration or subjective audio changes. If the delivered file fails to meet the agreed specifications due to an error on my part, please contact me.
