1. What files will I receive upon completion?
Depending on your package, you will receive industry-standard Gerber X2 files, NC Drill files, a detailed BOM (Bill of Materials), and a 3D STEP model. For Premium orders, I also provide the CPL (Pick & Place) file and the native KiCad source files.
2. Is your design compatible with JLCPCB?
Yes! I specialize in JLCPCB-ready designs. I ensure the BOM uses LCSC Part Numbers for easy SMT assembly and that the CPL files match their rotation and offset requirements.
3. Can you design a PCB from a hand-drawn sketch?
Absolutely. I can take your hand-drawn circuit or a conceptual description and perform Schematic Capture in KiCad before starting the PCB layout. Please message me first to discuss the complexity.
4. Do you handle Multi-Layer boards?
Yes. While my basic package covers 1-layer and standard covers 2-layer, I can design 4-layer boards for complex high-speed designs or tight mechanical constraints. Please use the "Additional Layers" Gig Extra or contact me for a custom quote.
5. What if I need a revision after the order is delivered?
I offer revisions to ensure the design meets your original requirements. Please note that revisions cover minor adjustments; major changes to the circuit architecture after the design is finalized may require an additional fee.
6. Does "2-Layer" mean I can place components on both sides?
My Standard and Premium packages include 2-layer trace routing (Top and Bottom copper layers). However, for JLCPCB SMT Assembly, I highly recommend placing all components on the Top Side only. While "Double-Sided Assembly" (components on both sides) is possible, it significantly increases costs.
