Hello!
I am a character driven reader who strongly believes characters are what make your story matter. I don't just want to read your book, I want to adore it. I want to obsess over it and find out how best to get your visions and characters across the page. I offer alpha, beta, proof reading services for finished and unfinished manuscripts. Wherever you are in the process, you can count me in!
To be clear on what I do:
- Alpha reading - this is first impressions of your book. We are looking past the punctuation and getting down to what and who your story is about. I will laugh react when I think something is funny, tell you when a moment hits, but also tell you where I see potential.
- Beta reading - We are getting more in-depth on how to get your point across. This may be a scene evaluation, flow, or moving past passive voice. Characters and their arcs are always a priority so the focus here remains while also zooming in a bit more.

FAQ
Is a blurb required?
Nope! While its good to know the tone or genre you’re leaning towards I don’t need a blurb to get started.
What are your timings / deadlines like?
Submission dates are approximate and can be subject to change by 1-2 business days but communication is incredibly important to me and you will know in advance if that’s the case. If you have a tight deadline, I have priority options and these are hard dates.
What if my manuscript exceeds the limit?
That's fine! Just message me, and we'll get a custom order made up for you! +$1 USD/additional 1k words and a decided upon timeframe (case by case basis)
What genres do you read?
Fiction! Speculative/fantasy is my go to, but I also love: thrillers, sci-fi, coming of age, contemporary and mystery. If it’s not real, I’m ready for it. LGBTQ rep is a plus!

That can feel so frustrating! “Is it bad? Or are they flaky?” My constant anxiety when finding readers! First. Your book isn’t bad! But it can be hard for some to look at rough edges and see the potential underneath. That happens to be my FAVORITE part!

This was one of those experiences where you just sit back and enjoy every second. Jade is absolutely amazing! She goes into so much detail that you walk away with a bunch of personal notes and clear suggestions on how to fix any issues. I will gladly work with her every time I need a beta reader.
