What information do you need?
I'll need login to your current host, new host and the domain name/URL of the site to be transferred. Please verify the user/pass you sent is correct. Sending incorrect login details will add delays to the completion time of the job.
Is there anything I need to do BEFORE the transfer?
If your site(s) use SSL (https) then make sure you have SSL installed on the destination server. Otherwise the site will stop functioning after transfer. if you need assistance, just ask.
Is there anything I need to do AFTER the transfer?
You'll need to update DNS of your domains after the migration. As in, point the domain to the new server. I can handle this as well. Just ask, and send domain registrar login as well.
Which sites you can't transfer?
I transfer almost all kind of self hosted sites ( execpt asp.net sites ). I can't transfer sites that doesn't provide access to source files. e.g. wordpress.com, squarespace, wix, weebly, shopify and such. So please make sure you are not ordering for these sites. Contact me first if any confusion!
Can you migrate/transfer my site built in XYZ to wordpress?
Sure. But this gig isn't appropriate for that service. Check out my WordPress website creation gig. I'd prefer if you just contact me and describe your requirement. I'll send you appropriate custom order in that case.
Do you transfer SSL?
Short answer: No. SSL can't be transferred like a website. Your hosting provider will install it for free if you buy SSL from them. If you bought the SSL somewhere, and hosting somewhere else, then you need to order the gig extra for SSL installation. Please ask me before ordering this.
