I will clean and import your product catalog into shopify with matrixify
Small Business Websites, Local SEO and Data Automation
About this Gig
Moving products into Shopify from an old platform, a supplier spreadsheet or a messy export? The hard part isn't uploading. It's the data: inconsistent columns, specs buried in descriptions, variants that don't line up, and metafields that need clean, typed values.
I'm a data analyst first (SQL, Python, Excel). I write a script that cleans and maps your data, so every product is handled the same way and the job can be re-run when your supplier sends an update.
What I handle:
- Old columns mapped to Shopify fields, options and variants
- Specs pulled out of descriptions into metafields
- Metaobjects and the references between them
- Images, SKUs, barcodes, tags and collections
- A pilot import on a small set first, so you approve before the full run
You get the import files and a verification report: counts in, counts out, and every skipped row explained. Premium includes the Python script.

FAQ
Do I need Matrixify?
For metafields, metaobjects or large catalogs, yes. Larger imports need a paid Matrixify plan on your store, billed by Matrixify. Simple catalogs can use Shopify's own CSV import.
What access do you need?
A staff or collaborator account on your store with product permissions. You can remove it when we're done.
What if my data is messier than expected?
I review your sample first. If the real file is bigger or messier than the package covers, I tell you before starting and send a custom offer.
Will this overwrite products I already have?
Not without your OK. The pilot import shows exactly what changes before the full run.
