I will repair stl or mesh and optimize for 3d printing
About this Gig
Bad meshes kill prints: non-manifold edges, flipped normals, zero-thickness walls, self-intersections. I have encountered every possible broken file since 2014, first at 3D Printhuset in Copenhagen running 3D services for clients like Coloplast and Novozymes, later as Technical Director at COBOD, a construction 3D printer manufacturer.
What you get:
- Watertight, manifold mesh with correct normals
- Wall thickness analysis against your 3D printer specs (just send the model)
- Overhang and bridge audit with support strategy
- Print-ready STL and 3MF, units and scale verified
Send STL, OBJ, 3MF, STEP or scan exports. Jewelry, miniatures, scan data, CAD exports, downloaded models that slice badly, all normal work.
If a file cannot be saved I tell you on day one and you pay nothing. If it needs full redesign rather than repair, I quote that instead.
Send the file and your printer and material. You get a feedback within hours
FAQ
My file fails to slice at all. Can you help?
Yes, that is the most common job. Slicer errors almost always trace back to mesh faults, and they are fixable in most cases.
What printers do you support?
Any 3D printer using either mesh or step as model input. physical print test conducted only on desktop FDM machine.
Can you make a repaired file parametric again?
Repair returns a mesh. Full parametric rebuild is my scan-to-CAD gig. combine both and I discount the second order.
What is in the report?
Wall thickness heatmap, overhang angles by region, flagged features, and a concrete fix list ranked by print risk.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes, on request, no charge.
The file is from a 3D scan and full of noise.
Scan-derived meshes are routine here. Heavy cleanup may push the job to Standard to one of my other gigs, but I will always confirm scope before starting.
