FAQ
I am not technical. Do I need to understand Claude Code or MCP?
No. Tell me the problem in plain words, like "checkout is broken" or "I want Claude connected to my store." I handle the technical side and explain the result in plain language.
What is the difference between Shopify Dev MCP and Admin MCP?
Dev MCP gives Claude access to Shopify documentation and Liquid validation only. It never touches your live store. Admin MCP connects to your real store data through an authenticated token. I will tell you which one your project needs.
Is it safe to give you or Claude access to my live store?
Yes, when it is scoped correctly. I request only the permissions the job needs and do not keep credentials after the project. I can sign an NDA if you want one.
Can Claude change my orders or inventory on its own?
No. Every permitted action is scoped by you first. For example, read-only inventory checks instead of full order editing. Nothing runs unless you approve it.
My store or app was built with Lovable, Bolt, Base44, or Replit. Can you fix it?
Yes. I work from the actual code and architecture, not just standard Shopify patterns, so the tool that generated it does not matter.
What is Liquid and why does it matter?
Liquid is Shopify's templating language. It controls how your theme, product pages, cart, and checkout render. Generic AI tools do not validate against Liquid rules, which is why AI theme edits often break things. I write Liquid directly.
Do I need my own Claude subscription or API key?
Yes, you need access to Claude Code or the Claude API. If you are not sure which one fits, I will help you decide before you order.
Can you set up automations like abandoned cart recovery or inventory alerts?
Yes. That is in my list of services also - through n8n or Make, separate from the Claude and Shopify integration work.
